An axis computer is available for each drive to be controlled, regardless of whether it is part of the upper or lower machinery. This two-channel axis computer is responsible for positioning and monitoring the movement axis assigned to it, for which it receives its movement commands and set values from the master computer via a bus system.
This computer, which also has a two-channel design, evaluates the input data from the various control panels and their control levers, forwards it to the axis computers and takes control of the entire data traffic of the control system. The master computer can control the axes of the upper and lower machinery simultaneously so that, for example, a podium with an attached brochure can be moved synchronously.
