FULL ELECTRONIC CONTROL IN ACCORDANCE WITH SIL 3

ELECTRONIC CONTROL

Hardware components

An axis computer is available for each drive to be controlled, regardless of whether it is part of the upper or lower machinery. This two-channel axis computer is responsible for positioning and monitoring the movement axis assigned to it, for which it receives its movement commands and set values from the master computer via a bus system.

This computer, which also has a two-channel design, evaluates the input data from the various control panels and their control levers, forwards it to the axis computers and takes control of the entire data traffic of the control system. The master computer can control the axes of the upper and lower machinery simultaneously so that, for example, a podium with an attached brochure can be moved synchronously.

ELECTRONIC CONTROL

Consoles and user interfaces

The control system communicates with one or more control panels which, depending on the version, can be wired stationary or mobile or, if desired, portable and connected via radio control. Inputs are preferably made via touchscreen monitors. The screens can be switched between different screen displays for input and visualization.

We will be happy to advise you on the optimum design of the desk layout, based on your requirements.

Topographical arrangement of selection fields

The topographical arrangement of selection fields for all controllable drives in the stage floor plan enables quick, easy and clear selection of drives in daily rehearsal and set-up operation.

The travel table shows the user all assignments between travel levers and drive axes with all selected travel parameters in a clear, well-structured form. The current positions, stroke range limits and target positions are visualized in bar charts for all drive axes of the upper machinery.
In addition, further screen views can be implemented for the display of system parts of the lower machinery (e.g. turntable or platforms).

We will be happy to assist you in determining the best topographical arrangement for you based on your preferences.

ELECTRONIC CONTROL

Driving modes, driving parameters

You can choose between the following driving modes for the transformations:

  • Free travel with and without group deactivation
  • Destination trips with and without group deactivation
  • Route and time-synchronized group travel
  • Beam and profile runs

In addition to these travel modes, parameters such as target positions, speeds, ramps, travel times, travel directions and approach delays can be selected and saved for each axis assigned to a travel lever or group.

Do you need a very special driving mode for your needs? We will develop it together with you!

Backdrop list and hanging plan

The scenery list is a database for registering all suspended parts available in the building with details of dimensions and weight and additional information such as the storage location. In the hanging plan, scenery from the scenery list is assigned to the respective train axes on a show-specific basis. The train now bears the name of the selected decoration in all screen displays, the scenery length is shown in the bar chart and all target positions are converted accordingly.

ELECTRONIC CONTROL

Images, transformations and ideas

Any configurations of trains, platforms or other controlled drive axles can be saved as images and called up again at any time. The defined change from one image to the next, the so-called transformation, can also be programmed with the additional parameters required, such as travel modes and speeds, or generated from the sequence of stored images. The sequence of several successive transformations forms a show and is displayed chronologically to the user on the screens of the consoles in the lateral transformation list.

Driving profiles

Travel profiles are time-dependent speed profiles and can be entered manually or recorded and saved at any time. They can be edited and modified at any time and assigned to each train or train group as required.
Our control system offers you much more: driving effects, remote diagnostics, error messages in plain text, error logs, network connection and, and, and… .
